Emily takes a warm, empathetic and client-centred approach to help you improve your well being. She utilises a range of evidence-based treatments that are suited to your needs.

Emily has experience working with anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, and grief. She also has a special interest in working with eating disorders and trauma and is an accredited practitioner with the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders, and is a full member with the EMDR Association of Australia, AAPi and APS.

Emily has a Masters in Professional Psychology and has experience working with adults and adolescents from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. She has worked in schools, community counselling services and private practice.

Credentialed Eating Disorder Psychologist

Emily is a credentialed eating disorder psychologist and is accredited with the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders.

She is passionate about supporting people affected by eating disorders and has experience working with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder  and atypical eating disorders.

Emily is trained in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders,  Family Based Therapy for Eating Disorders, SSCM and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for ARFID. She uses a warm, client centred approach to listen and understand her client's unique needs and develop a tailored therapy option that works best for you.

Emily can work closely with your GP and dietician to create a team to support you towards food freedom. 

EMDR Therapy for Trauma

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy was developed to reduce distressing emotions associated with traumatic events through the use of bilateral stimulation, typically eye movement.  

EMDR therapy is extensively researched and has been found to help people with PTSD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, addiction and other distressing life events. 

Emily has completed her training in EMDR therapy and is a full member of the EMDR Association of Australia.
